Network Operations Center (NOC)
Weidenhammer’s NOC is a monitored, climate controlled, limited access facility located in Wyomissing, PA. This facility is equipped with a dedicated fire suppression system, raised flooring and emergency power capability (battery and diesel generator) to provide our hosting client’s web sites superior uptime and availability.
Internet Connectivity
Weidenhammer has a Tier 1 provider for Internet connectivity. We have four full T1s tied through Boarder Gate Protocol to provide capacity and redundancy to the Internet, through four geographically diverse locations. The providers are connected via two Cisco 3640 routers with Hot Stand-By Protocol between routers.
High Performance Shared Web Servers
Weidenhammer provides a state of the art infrastructure to host client web solutions. This infrastructure is composed of multiple hardware and software platforms including AS/400 and Windows-based servers that are built to handle heavy traffic on your website as well as provide your site with fault tolerance. Supported languages include ASP, ASP.NET, Cold Fusion MX 7, LANSA, and Lotus Notes
High Performance Shared Database Servers
Weidenhammer utilizes a similar configuration for our data content servers. This environment contains multiple platforms and multiple database environments, including MS SQL Server, DB2/400 and Lotus Domino. This configuration provides clients with multiple options when developing a back end database engine for their web solution. These database servers are capable of handling high volumes of data and have built-in transactional fault tolerance.
Backup and Recovery
All of your web pages, transactional data, graphics files, document files, and other materials found in your web folder are backed up to tape every night. These backups are sent to an off-site secure storage facility for safekeeping. In the event of a disaster, your website will be restored to its latest iteration when the site is back on-line.
Security
Your website will reside within the security of Weidenhammer’s NOC. We use state-of-the-art hardware appliances to specifically grant access to our systems and monitor activity. Monitors are constantly running to guard against denial of service attacks, information harvesting routines, and many other threats to the health of our systems.
Virus Protection
Weidenhammer provides enterprise level anti-virus protection for web solutions. Updates are automatically downloaded from the Internet on a daily basis. Weidenhammer’s entire server farm is automatically updated to provide the very latest protection from identified viruses.
Email SPAM Filtering
Weidenhammer offers an add-on service to filter all incoming email for unwanted SPAM and viruses spread via email. This external service scans all email before it is forwarded to the receiving mail server, which significantly reduces bandwidth requirements and guarantees identified viruses never even reach our network. In addition to email boxes hosted at Weidenhammer, this service can be applied to any customer mail server.
Website Interface Support
Your web hosting fee includes FTP access to your private web folder so that you may make modifications to the website if you are so inclined. We also provide on-line visitor analysis reporting (see below) so you may monitor your website traffic at any time from any Internet-connected computer. These features provide you with the knowledge and ability to manage your site to its full potential.

Weidenhammer can help integrate Google Analytics to any website for visitor analysis reporting. Please inquire for details.
Client Care Center
Weidenhammer’s Client Care Center is available to all of our customers Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Every call is logged as an incident and reported to the appropriate manager. All incidents will get an initial response within two hours, and will not be closed until the incident is addressed to the client’s full satisfaction. During off-hours, weekends and holidays, a special web hosting emergency voicemail box is configured to notify technicians when a message has been left requiring immediate response.
